If you haven’t seen this moving video yet, take the time. It is wonderful: speaks to the meaning of life, of school, and of great teaching. An important example of how compassion works in the classroom.

We need to focus on this in America. Much more important than test scores!
agreed!
The path to happiness is sometimes surprising – like creating the permission, safety and gentle but strong support for the frozen ice crystals in our hearts to melt and flow away in tears…
Thank you for sharing the gentle, powerful, inspirational and touching story…
You are welcome. I was reminded of it when perusing Karma Tube – have you seen that website? It is full of wonderful videos like this.
This is one of the most moving videos I have ever seen. Thanks Christine for sharing this and introducing me to KarmaTube. I want to figure out a way to use this as an educational tool for teachers, school administrators, and parents.
I know, I’ve watched it a zillion times and I still find it inspiring. If you like KarmaTube, you’ll also like the emails that come from their parent organization, which used to be CharityFocus but now is called…hmm. Should be on the Karma Tube website; I can’t remember the new name…
Sadly the video doesn’t seem to exist on vimeo. I’m in Canada so perhaps that’s the problem. Can you provide a title or description of it so I can try to find it elsewhere?
thank you for pointing out the problem – should be fixed now!
Ditto on the comment from Jason! I cannot find the embed code for the video. Can you help?
Really? I thought we’d fixed it – I can watch the video from the website now. But here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=armP8TfS9Is&feature=player_embedded
and the embed code:
