Nicely done, Christine. The one thing I would prefer is to change the apparent objective of “being productive” into Being of Value. It seems to me that most of us have some form of being of value as our purpose in life. Why not have that as our intention, rather than the sterile being more productive?
Christine Carter says:
Yes, I agree. “Productivity” is a short hand for something that most people think that they want. But you are raising an important issue — myth #4? It really is an incorrect assumption that productivity in and of itself is a worthwhile goal!! Social meaning — the impact, value, and purpose we have for others — is much more valuable.
Woohoo! From a “reforming” multi-tasking addict, thank you for giving single-tasking the attention it deserves – for the sake of our well-being AND enjoyment of the one thing we are doing – let alone our productivity. Looking forward to finding my “minimum effective dose” in almost all things (except hugs from my children) and welcoming more ease into my life.

I’ve found the MED of hugs from my children to be quite high. More is usually better when it comes to hugs. 🙂
Great talk! I love the phrase “effortless power,” I look forward to working in my sweet spot!

Keep us posted — we’d love to hear how it goes!

This is a wonderful talk, informative and inspiring me to rethink so many actions and approaches. Thank you! In fact, I viewed it several months ago and would like to see it again, but it seems as if the video link is no longer loading properly. I’m hoping this can be repaired.

It’s working for me, but the problem might be that they’ve moved the videos to youtube.com — does this link work better for you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TLHKTciPaM

Lisa, thank you for bringing the issue to my attention. I think we fixed the problem!
